- Open House- Wed. 8/3/16 9am-1pm (you may drop off student supplies today or on the first day of school)
- First Day of School- Mon. 8/8/16
- Curriculum Night- Tues. 8/23/16 6pm (lots of information about what to expect this year in first grade)
- Holiday NO SCHOOL- Mon. 9/5/16 (Labor Day)
NEWS
- Weekly Newsletters are sent home within your child’s green courier every Friday.
- Please check your child’s courier for graded work, important information, and classroom updates.
- Please make sure to sign your child’s courier & return to school Monday.
- Planners should be reviewed and signed nightly.
REMINDERS
Homework
A weekly homework packet is passed out
every Friday and due the following Friday.
- Homework includes: nightly reading, english language arts, & math practice.
- Math facts shoud be practiced nightly (your child will bring home flashcards for practicing math fact fluency).
- Leveled reader books are sent home nightly & exchanged weekly (books should be read nightly and returned to school each day- for lost/damaged books there is a $5.00 fee).
Homework should be kept in a designated HW folder)
Conduct
Your child will receive a daily conduct grade inside their planners.
You will need to review this and sign the planner nightly.
